About Farming Experience

Overview

Farming Experience is an adventure and farming based modpack for Minecraft that focuses on slowing down the player's progression, grows on the already existing features of the game, and enhances them. It's designed to provide a more relaxed and immersive gameplay, encouraging exploration, and imagination instead of driving the player though a specific path.

The Vision

I have been playing Minecraft since 2011, when I was a little kid. I built this modpack to bring back that specific feeling of nostalgia, creativity, and adventure again. When you start a new world it shouldn't feel like the only thing you can do is build a base, grind mob farms to get as many items as possible, and kill all bosses. With every recent update the game started to feel like that’s the path a player should take to complete the game, those things start and end quickly.

And what's most beautiful about this game is that it never ends, you never complete it. Imagination has no limits, and neither does Minecraft. I created this collection of mods to add features that expand the game endlessly. The focus is on enjoying the journey rather than rushing to a reward.

How Mods Are Selected

Mods inside the Farming Experience modpack are chosen to match the original style of Minecraft while adding cool features. Every mod preserves the original identity of the game. Content that feels out of place or too complex, alters the base mechanics heavily, or requires a long learning curve is generally avoided. The goal is to build naturally on what already exists instead of changing the basic experience players are used to.

Starting a new world with one or multiple guide books in your inventory implies there is a specific path to follow. I want to let players discover the world for themselves. Let the player make mistakes. That’s when the best new ideas come in.
